Creative Interventions for Bereaved Children and Children of Divorce with Liana Lowenstein. Click here to download the brochure.

 

This dynamic workshop will present an innovative model for working with school-aged children with loss issues from bereavement to divorce. Structured assessment and treatment techniques will be illustrated for use in individual, group, and family therapy. Participants will come away with many innovative play therapy techniques all of which can be adapted to use with a variety of populations.

Liana is an author, international workshop presenter, and clinician specializing in treating children with a variety of emotional difficulties. She currently sees children of all ages in private practice and provides clinical supervision and consultation to mental health practitioners. She has a reputation as a dynamic workshop leader and is on the teaching faculty of the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy. She is author of numerous publications including:

Cancellations

 

All cancellations must be received in writing by May 23, 2008  to receive a full refund.  All cancellations are subject to a $20 processing fee.  No refunds issued for any reason after May 23, 2008.

 

 

Scholarships

Continuing Education

 

Six Contact Hours will be awarded for a full day of attendance.  No partial credit will be awarded.

 

Counselors:  The Alabama Association for Play Therapy (AAPT) is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer continuing education for counselors.  AAPT adheres to NBCC continuing education guidelines.  NBCC Provider No. 6211.

 

Play Therapists:  The Alabama Association for Play Therapy (AAPT) is approved by the Association for Play Therapy for continuing education activities specific to play therapy.  APT provider No. 98-045.

 

Social Workers:  The Alabama Association for Play Therapy (AAPT) is recognized by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners to offer continuing education for social workers.  AAPT adheres to Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners continuing education guidelines.   ASBSWE Provider No. 0284.

 

Marriage and Family Therapists:  The ABEMFT automatically approves courses that are NBCC approved for CEU credit.
