Annual Karla Carmichael Grant-$3,000.00

 

The Karla Carmichael Grant was established in 2002 as a way to thank Karla Carmichael, Ph.D., professor of counseling at the University of Alabama for her contributions in establishing and developing AAPT. This grant was established in an effort to promote Play Therapy in the state of Alabama.

 

The first grant for $500 was awarded in 2003. Each year the amount has been increased by $500. Applicants are required to develop a project or research study in the area of Play Therapy and submit an application to the grant committee. This grant may be shared by multiple applicants if equally worthy applicants apply.

Research Grant-$5,000.00

 

The Alabama Association for Play Therapy will award a one-time grant for the development and implementation of a research study in the area of Play Therapy. This grant may be shared by multiple applicants if equally worthy applicants apply.

 

The maximum amount of this grant will be $5000.00. The application must include:
