Step-Families and Play Therapy: An overview of Play Therapy and

How it Relates to Step-Families

 

Please note – this workshop is being conducted at the Dothan Campus of Troy University

Synopsis

 

This workshop will focus on helping clients with practical parenting skills. Topics will include successful integration of blending families, building a healthy identity in children, and the realities of parenting (and grand-parenting) issues that occur across the lifespan. Techniques will be discussed that can be used with young children, teens and adolescents moving into adulthood

 

The parenting role and relationship with adult children will also be addressed. Dr. Jacobson uses her humor, knowledge, experience of a 25 year marriage to provide a workshop filled with fun and information, and techniques.
